I have an admit from USC for MS in Medical Devices and Diagnostic Engineering and an admit from Cornell for MEng in Biomedical Engineering. The USC course is 2 years while the Cornell course is 1 year. Which has a better RoI (Return on Investment) between Cornell and USC and which would be a better option to choose if my focus is getting a job?

I would suggest u to go with USC ( Because of Irvine ( Job opportunity + 2 year Master course )

1 year Courses are always Problematic because they Rescind the CPT Leverage given to students . So Cornel is a good university, but I won't suggest going for a 1 year course , Because ,if u finish ur Masters in 1 year , u r exempted from Internships and U will have load to find a Job . See more

Talking about USC for MS in Medical devices & Diagnostic Engineering , There is a Place called Irvine near Los Angeles ( About 43 Mins ). Its very famous for Pharmaceutical companies related to ur Course . So, Getting a Job wouldn't be a big hustle + Traveling Time + Traveling cost is plus. See more
