Ranked as one of the top 10 iSchools in the United States, the College of Information Studies at the University of Maryland is a leading research and teaching college in the field of information science. Faculty and graduates of the Master of Information Management (MIM) graduate degree program at UMD’s iSchool expand the frontiers of how people access and use information and technology in an evolving world – in government, business, education, and more.

The MIM program currently has specializations in Data Analytics, Strategic Management, and Technology Development with new specializations under development. The MIM program provides training in big data, data analytics, data science, visualization, databases, as well as emerging topics like information governance, location analytics, smart cities and connected communities, social computing, cybersecurity, and privacy.
