About the speaker:
Dr. Deepak Gupta serves as the Associate Chair and Graduate Program Coordinator for Industrial, Systems, and Manufacturing Engineering (ISME) Department at Wichita State University (WSU). He obtained his PhD degree in Industrial Engineering from West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV. His primary research interests include but are not limited to energy efficiency and sustainability, industrial productivity, manufacturing system optimization, and supply chain management. Currently, he works on two US Department of Energy (US DOE) projects and provides hands-on learning opportunity for students to engage directly with regional industry. He also led other projects supported by US DOE, National Science Foundation (NSF), US Department of Labor (DOL), Spirit AeroSystems, Westar Energy, Kansas City Power & Light, Ameren, and other regional organizations with over $1.5 million in funding.
