Course Description

MS in CS provides three options to students: Thesis, project, or course-work only. The following are areas of emphasis in the program: artificial intelligence; machine learning; computational biology; databases; computer security; data science; graphics and human-computer interaction; networks; software engineering; theoretical computer science; virtual reality; and visualization.

Eligibility and Application Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer science or computer engineering. Candidates with course work in computer science from other fields wills be considered.
  • 3.50/4.00 GPA of final 60 semester hours of undergraduate
  • Minimum score of 140+GREV on GRE General test
  • Proof of English proficiency by one of following tests:
    • TOEFL
      • 80, with subscores of Reading 19, Listening 17, Speaking 20, and Writing 21 (iBT Internet-based); 60, with subscores of Reading 19, Listening 17, Writing 21 (New Paper-Based—after August 2018); 570 (Institutional Testing Paper-Based—prior to August 2018),
    • IELTS
      • 6.5, with subscores of 6.0 for all four subscores
    • PTE-Academic scores
      • 54, with subscores of Reading 51, Listening 47, Speaking 53, and Writing 56.
  • Two letters of recommendation.
  • Personal Statement
