The University of Michigan conducts its Civil Engineering Course in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE). An element which sets the course apart from others is its special focus on studying the relationship (and transformation) between the environmental and associated civil infrastructural systems with the natural environment. The course rests specific emphasis on maintaining the balance between the built infrastructures and the environment so as not to disturb the order of nature in man’s pursuit to erect new structures every other minute in the name of development.
