where should i do my masters in vlsi? i want to be working in vlsi industry like intel or nvidia and my interest is front end. I had planned on doing it in US, but considering the current laws and problems with work visa, Germany seems like a good alternative. But i am not really sure. Where should i really do my masters?

Front end as in Front end web development? If you want to do front end why are you particular about VLSI and Intel or Nvidia? Is there any particular reason?

Hey Chethan, I'm doing my MS in VLSI at NEU. I did my internship at Qualcomm and I'll be joining them as a full-time Design Verification Engineer. If you're trained in System Verilog or UVM, you can get a job easily so I would say, look for cheaper universities. If you're not trained, look for the course work of universities and decide. Many universities have SV and UVM in their curriculum, so it will help you in finding a job after your master's.

Yeah, concentrations are categories. Vlsi, power systems, embedded are all separate concentrations. For example, at NEU, vlsi comes under Microsystems, materials and devices concentration..this concentration comes under ECE department.

@nethra there are tons of universities out here. By average I mean the universities which are ranked between 40 and 80. If you want cheap universities, then you should probably look for public ones, as private universities tend to be expensive
