I want to pursue a second masters from US, I have a masters from NIT nagpur india. I have a admit for second masters. is it possible to get loan? hdfc credila has told me that de cannot provide as this is my second masters.

@Alininja I know I will be asked why second masters? And I will prepare well for that question. My branch of the second masters is different from the earlier one. So I am hopefull I can convince the VO.

@chinukakde I know its late, but even if its helpful, I will share my experience

I did my second Masters from Northeastern University, my first masters from GGSIPU Delhi. I took loan from HDFC Crediila. Here are pointers for you:

1) Regarding Loan: Try taking to other agents of HDFC Credilla, also talk to other agents of different banks and tell HDFC agents that you are getting loans from them. There is no clause that they will reject you just because you are going for second Masters. They probably are rejecting for reasons unknown. Just try it through different agent.

2) You do not have to do special convincing to VO. VO never asked me "Why second masters?"; he just asked me "Why this university? why this course? " ; Even if they do ask you why second masters, you do not have to come with out of the planet reason; just state simply that you want to do it because you are interested in the subject matter.

3) Let no one tell you otherwise; that it is different or difficult if you are going for second masters. None of the questions from Bank or from VO were any different from what they would ask anyone else. I have completed my second masters and was never asked any question about why second masters;.

I am giving you account from first hand experience; so trust me, go for it and be confident.

and they can give easily addmission or not like in UIC or IIT UNI.
