Hello! I wish to apply for PhD in Robotics (Mechanical Engineering oriented) for Fall 21. I have a confusion in applying for CMU. I am a Mechanical Engineer from IIT Kharagpur. So should I apply through the Robotics Institute of CMU or Mechanical Department of CMU or both? Kindly suggest. What are the chances and quality of research in both the cases?

Apply for Robotics for sure , because CMU Robotics department is very strong
