Depaul university


Suggest me which university to select for ms in data science program

@KanishkaShekhar If we follow you're logic then everyone should apply to Stevens and admit is guaranteed as Stevens hardly rejects anyone. Just being in NY doesn't land you a job on the plate. In USA jobs are mainly got through skills set, LinkedIn profile, networking and above all referrals. The pandemic has brought a big change in way of hiring and it is more virtual now. Hence just being in NY doesn't land jobs.

@KanishkaShekhar The issue is the moment someone sees  on Yocket mention of Stevens or NEU  for advice  immediately it will be these two universities over any other. Many of them think that all degrees in NEU have coop which is not the case.
George Mason definitely would be a good choice in this case.

I would certainly rank Stevens above George mason, location is a huge advantage if money isn’t an issue for you. Though I will say that program fit matters the most, so if you find GMU curriculum better fit for your background and future goals, go there

@Alininja I never meant that. Everything you've written is true. Considering the options he has as of now I gave my opinion. It's pretty obvious that your skillset and profile presentation will grant you success. You are definitely not going to pick Stevens over Rutgers(considering same state) just because Hoboken is in closer proximity to NY. If Financial constraints exists then understandably prefer George Mason
