About:

UConn has a series of renewable merit scholarships for high school seniors with a record of high academic achievement and leadership. Incoming freshmen are automatically considered for most merit scholarships administered by the University of Connecticut. Offers of merit scholarships are generally awarded for fall semester entry.

Scholarship Requirements:

  • Students who rank in the top of their graduating class, have chosen to major in a STEM discipline, and have achieved a minimum combined critical reading and math SAT and/or ACT Composite score determined by the Undergraduate Admissions Office will be considered for a STEM Scholarship.
  • Students must demonstrate extraordinary involvement in a STEM field. Scholarship recipients will be members of UConn’s Honors Program and STEM Scholars community.
