About:

Each year, Penn commits millions of dollars in undergraduate aid funds to support international students. International applicants who are not citizens or permanent residents of the United States, Canada, or Mexico, who anticipate the need for financial aid at any point during their four-year course of study at Penn, must apply for aid when they apply for admission. Penn provides need-based assistance to admitted international students whose families require financial support to afford Penn. For admitted students, Penn meets demonstrated need for eight semesters or four years through a grant-based aid package as long as they continue to demonstrate financial need, making it possible to graduate without debt. Students must reapply for financial aid each academic year.

Scholarship Requirements:

  • Full demonstrated need
  • Required Documents for CSS Profile.
  • Financial aid documents are required.

How To Apply:

  • International students should follow the Checklist for International Students on the Student Financial Services website.
  • Penn will not admit a financial aid candidate for whom we cannot provide aid. As a result, some candidates we would otherwise want to admit will be turned away.
  • International applicants who anticipate the need for financial aid at any time during their four-year course of study must make this anticipated need known at the time of application.
