There are numerous ways to get to the Federation University of Australia, including taking the bus, train, walking, or renting a motorcycle. The city has an efficient and well-developed public transportation system. Myki is Victoria's state-wide ticketing system for train, tram, and bus services. Myki is a security feature that allows you to pay for your fare with prepaid credit. A blank myki costs 6 AUD (330 INR) and is available at newsagents and railway stations. Some students are eligible for a 50% discount on all public transportation in Victoria, but you must purchase a VPT concession card to receive the discount. Students who do not have a VPT card and demand an agreement fare may be fined by transit officers on patrol. A student ID card from the Federal state does not entitle you to a contract fare.
