Transportation in the city

The university provides shuttle buses between Edinburgh and the birders campuses. Other than that, the university does not provide any transportation services to the students. Edinburg is well connected through public transport. 

  • Bus number 25, X25, 34, 35, 45, 63 and N25/N34 provide the direct access from the city center of the campus. 
  • The Edinburg Rail also provides access to the campus, but there is no direct access. Students/ PArents/ Faculty can ride till Curriehill Station and then take a bus from Haymarket and catch bus number 25. 
  • Students can also use bicycles to travel from the city center, and Edinburg Park. The campus has various bicycle parking spots that the students can rent. 
  • Students can also use private taxis to commute to and from the campus. 
  • The campus also has various car parking spots for the students driving their private cars.

Services offered by the university

  • The Edinburg Campus of Heriot-Watt University have over £9 million invested in refurbishing the Library and have over 10,00,000 books and resources, both online and offline. 
  • Heriot-Watt University is home to Oriam, Scotland’s National Sports Performance Center and is one of the best sports centers in all UK Universities. 
  • GRID is the research facility by the university designed to create a cohesion between academic disciplines, industry partners and the global community.
