The campus has lots of buildings for teaching and research with a total of 5,600 square meters of laboratory space equipped to the highest standards. There is a Campus Center which stands as a defining feature on campus and home to the Information Resource Center (IRC), Jacobs University’s digital and reference library. Opposite the Campus Center is the Interfaith House - a place visited for worship by many different religions on campus. The Sports and Convention Center (SCC) where the annual festive Graduation ceremony takes place. Indoor soccer, hockey, basketball, cricket, volleyball, badminton, or handball can be played at the SCC, which also houses a gym for students, faculty, and staff.
Unlike any other German University, Jacobs University is a Campus University. It has four residential colleges, providing affordable, beautiful and secure accommodation for its students. Every College has its own servery-where you can enjoy international cuisine, study areas, group meeting rooms, and recreational lounge. They also provide their Graduate Students with attractive and affordable accommodation off-campus in the city of Bremen. The accommodation fee for an academic year is €3,000. The Student can choose to stay in the accommodation provided by the university or find an individual accommodation on their own.
