Location

The main campus of the university is located in Clayton, Victoria. Other Australian campuses of the university are Caulfield, Alfred, Parkville, Peninsula and Berwick. The university also has a Campus in Italy, South Africa, Malaysia, China and India.
The Clayton campus of the university is the largest among all the campuses of the university and is around 20km from the Melbourne City Center. The campus has an urban setting and you will find a large number of restaurants, cafe, pubs, shopping centers, banks, etc. within walking distance.
The university also has inter-campus shuttle bus service which connects to the Frankston Railway Station and most of the other campuses of the university. If you are an undergraduate student, you can also get concession and discounts on your Myki cards while using a public transport. Other students can also apply for a 10% concession on their Myki passes through the Commuter Club of the university.


Infrastructure

The Clayton campus of the university is spread across 1.1km and has its own postcode and suburb. It has multiple scientific research facilities on the campus, like CSIRO and Australian Synchrotron where some of the best minds of our generation conduct their researches. The campus of the university is listed as a Significant Landscape of Australia and has 10 beautiful gardens. You will commonly find students hanging around in these gardens between lectures and in the evening.
The Monash University Library has multiple libraries across all its campuses and has more than 3.2 million items. Sir Louis Matheson Library at the Clayton Campus is home to more than 100,000 rare items that can be accessed by students and staff.
There are multiple eateries at the campus as well as regular food truck service for students who want to grab a quick bite. Moreover, the campus also has two on-campus bars, Sir John’s and Notting Hill Hotel that are social life hubs of the campus.


Residing Options

The university has a number of residence halls throughout its campuses where the students can experience the best of university life. While there is no accommodation guarantee, owing to the large number of accommodations available at all the campuses, there is only a minor possibility that you won’t get an on-campus accommodation.
On-campus accommodation also provides you with an abundance of opportunities to make new friends, meet like-minded people and create study groups with other resident students to improve your academic performance. Weather

Apart from its modern lifestyle, one of the best things about Melbourne is its climate. Summers are mostly dry with an average temperature of around 25 degree Celsius and winters are warm with temperatures around 10 degree Celsius. However, the night temperature can drop up to 1-2 degree Celsius in winters.


Faculty and pedagogy

Monash University has a perfect combination of vastly-experienced and not-so-experienced professors.     Monash is one of the best 100 universities across the globe and has an outstanding reputation for its academic offerings. However, while it is termed as an ‘easy university’, the acceptance rate doesn’t agree with this terminology. The university has a low acceptance rate, especially its Clayton and Parkville campuses require higher ATAR as compared to other campuses. But if you are accepted at the university, you are sure to enjoy some of the best learning years of your life.
