The Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences was established in 2009. It is also known as Hochschule Rhein-Waal (HSRW). Although it is pretty new, it is a fast-growing public university that is also known to be one of the most international universities in Germany, especially since most of the degree programs that they offer are in English. It has two campuses situated at Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort. HSRW gets its name from the two rivers: the German river Rhine and the Dutch river Waal. Since 2018, the HSRW has been offering a variety of courses and programs, and the medium of instruction is in both English and German. The HSRW has four faculties: The Faculty of Communication and Environment; The Faculty of Society and Economics; The Faculty of Life Sciences; and The Faculty of Technology and Bionics.

Transportation in the city

Students can commute from one corner of the city to the other via the public buses and cars available here. One can also rent vehicles as per their wish to move around freely. One of the easiest ways to reach the university is through public means of transport -via the Kleve train station. You can also access the campus through car -via routes like A3 Autobahn and A42 and A57 Autobahns.
