The University of Tokyo is located in Bunkyo, Tokyo, Japan. It has three main campuses named Hongo campus, Komaba campus and Shirokaneda campus.
The university's Hongo Campus has a lot of historic buildings including Yasuda Auditorium and the campus occupies the former estate of the Maeda family, Edo period feudal lords of Kaga Province. You will also find other registered cultural heritage sites such as the Main Gate, including the porter's lodge; building 1,2, and 3 of the Faculty of Law and Letters, the building housing the Faculty of Engineering(Reppin-kan); and building 1 of the Faculty of Engineering. All campus buildings, except for the front gate were fashioned by Yoshikazu Uchida in the gothic style known as Uchida Gothic.
The University provides well-equipped dormitories and other residential options for international students, and researchers in the area. Housing facilities are also maintained and support is given to the residents by the institution to ensure that they feel safe and comfortable. Two types of accommodation are offered by the university and that is residences given by the institution/apartments plus flats rented by private businesses.
