Transportation in the city

The Tilburg University students can use local transportation services. The city has three local train services called Tilburg Universiteit, Tilburg Centraal and Tilburg Reeshof. The students can also take the Flixbus services to reach the campus at affordable prices.


Services offered by the university

  • The Tilburg University Campus of the university is equipped with modern amenities including a contemporary library with workspace and high-tech study.
  • Tilburg University has a green campus in wooded surroundings. The activities are concentrated here. The lines of communication between students and university staff are short. The campus has a library with state-of-the-art studies along with workspaces. There are 650 individual and group workstations.
  • The students can find e-learning centers, up-to-date individual and group workspace, and cyber cafes across the campus.
  • The student career center provides a range of information about the labor market, enabling the students to get a realistic picture of their options and opportunities.
  • There are various student services including the Student Desk which can help with administrative issues including enrollment, tuition, study progress, Tilburg University card, graduation, diplomas, and grade transcripts.

  • The students can unwind in their Finnish sauna with a roof terrace or also enjoy a drink in the T-Sports cafe. Membership gives the students access to fitness T-Kwadraat, the Ireen Wust Ice Skating Rink, and three municipal swimming pools in Tilburg.
  • Tilburg University has study-related associations which organize both social and professional events. These associations are program-specific. Every school has its own School Council, which represents lecturers and support staff. The School Councils take decisions on research-related, strategic, and financial issues.
  • Students can use one of the areas of study on campus to prepare for lectures. Most areas have both individual and group workspaces, which offer computers with internet access and wireless zones along with plug-in connections for use with the laptop.
  • Medical costs can be high in the city if the students require specialized care at a hospital. Dutch law requires the students to have healthcare and third-party liability insurance. If the students are from one of the countries of the European Union and have a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), they may not be required to have Dutch public healthcare insurance.
  • Studium Generale (SG) provides a stage for science, society, and culture at Tilburg University.
