    The Birmingham Business School is located just 10 minutes far from the cosmopolitan and second largest city of UK, Birmingham. You can access the city by the train, in fact, carrying over 2.5 million passengers each year, University train station is the only one in Great Britain built with the main purpose of serving a university!

    Birmingham connects the UK, Europe and the world with each other through its air, road and rail networks which all stem from here. The capital city, London, is just 2 hours away from Birmingham. The city is loaded with the perfect ingredients of excitement and provides a diverse exposure to the students. It is a celebrated hub for arts, music, dance and heritage. Being the 2nd largest city, it also offers multiple career opportunities for the business minds.

    The hottest month of the year for Birmingham is July with an average temperature of 17°C and the coldest is February with average temperature of 3°C. Clouds pour rain heavily during the month of January.

    Residing Options at University of Birmingham

They provide with accommodation options such as catered halls, self-catered halls and students can have private houses in the nearby areas as well. They have accommodation for disabled students as well. Their residential areas are divided on the basis of the distance and facilities, some of their names are Selly Oak Village, Liberty Court. The Villages have Wi-Fi throughout the area. You also have access to 24 hour customer service and Student Mentor Scheme and the Residents' Association. For postgraduate students, the accommodation policy is a bit different because it doesn’t guarantee a room for local UK students. They also provide you with virtual video tours of the different accommodations available to get a better idea of your home away from home.

    Residential costs form a major portion of your expenses here at Birmingham. Therefore, the university has provided with the average expenses to be incurred in this regard on their official website. Talking about food, the university is very flexible as it offers different catering options for you to consider. You can use your culinary skills and cook your own meal or have the flexibleMeal Plan option which is very popular amongst new students.


    Faculty and pedagogy at University of Birmingham

    The school has world class teaching standards with over 100 faculty. They have the triple- crown accreditation from bodies such as AACB, AMBA and EQUIS. The school has excellent links with local, national and international companies, has strong Asian connections. It also has extensive international contacts, specifically in emerging economies.

    The building has 14 teaching rooms, a lecture theatre, two computer clusters and a computer lab. It also has a dedicated MBA common room, an Entrepreneurship and Innovation incubation space and a careers skills interview room.

    The university is extremely helpful in terms of facing the financial challenges. It offers a range of need and merit based scholarships. There are Open scholarships, Dean's Academic Excellence Scholarships, MBA donor scholarships: African MBA Scholarship, Rosen Family Scholarship, Sean and Claire Henry Scholarship.
