Services offered by the university
Library materials from the humanities, social sciences, and arts are available at the Tomás Rivera Library. A wide variety of life and physical sciences are represented in the Raymond L. Orbach Science Library, including engineering, agriculture, and medicine. Undergraduate and graduate students are provided with primary care, women's health care, dental care, and laboratory services at the University of California, Riverside Student Health Services (SHS).
Student life at University of California, Riverside
Several local outreach programs and retention programs provide a significant part of the student experience on campus. There are many exciting alternatives to intramural sports available at UCR, including sports clubs, which offer a fun, competitive environment where you can meet new people. There are rugby, soccer, volleyball, kendo, and ballroom dancing clubs competing against other colleges.
It has over 375 registered student organizations, including the Associated Students of the University of California, Riverside (ASUCR), which is the undergraduate student representative on administrative and policy matters.
On campus accomodation at University of California, Riverside
Students enrolled in Continuing, Transfer, or Graduate programs have access to the Campus Apartments. For students with family members, freshmen, transfer, graduate, and continuing housing are available.
The University of California, Riverside has four residence halls that can accommodate over 3,000 students in double rooms and triple rooms. These halls are Aberdeen-Inverness, Dundee, Lothian, and Pentland Hills. There are also several on-campus apartment complexes available to students, including Stonehaven, Bannockburn Village, University Plaza, Falkirk, Oban, Glen Mor, and International Village.
