Established in 1916, the Business School is situated in the university’s central campus. It has the mission of developing effective and responsible leaders by creating insightful knowledge. The school holds accreditations from AMBA, AACSB, and EQUIS. It ranks at #73 in the Financial Times Global MBA Ranking 2018. The programs offered include MBA, MSc, PhD, Executive Education and 21 undergraduate programs.
The city of Edinburgh is the second biggest financial hub in the United Kingdom. Situated on the shores of the Firth of Forth and set on seven hills, Edinburgh City contains a royal palace, a cliff-top castle and an extinct volcano. The city has a plethora of galleries, museums, theatres, cinemas, restaurants, and bars. The university’s main campus is located in the centre of the town. Gyms, libraries, and departments are meshed throughout the city.
The building for the Business School has eight lecture theatres, meeting rooms, an executive education suite, a café and accommodation for students and staff.

The school has about 11 research centres, such as the Accounting and Population Culture Research Network (APC), Centre for Accounting & Society (CAS), Centre for Business and Climate Change (CBCC), and Centre for Entrepreneurship Research (CER), with subject groups for Research including Accounting and Finance, Marketing, Management Science and Business Economics, Strategy, etc. There are about 102 full time academic staff members representing 30 nationalities.
The school provides various scholarships, including the MBA scholarships to eligible students based on their academic qualifications, level of work experience, and answers to the questions in the Scholarship Application Form.
