Documents Required to Apply to University of Groningen

  • Secondary school diploma - If you're a graduate. If you haven't graduated yet, attach documentation of your enrollment along with the title of the degree you intend to pursue and your estimated graduation date.
  • Final Transcript - If you have not yet received your diploma, kindly submit at least all of your transcripts from the past one and a half years up to the most recent ones.
  • English proficiency proof - Please mention if you have already taken an English test or if it is not essential for you to do so. 
  • Letter/ video of motivation Add your video to a Word document using the YouTube URL and upload it using OAS.
  • One academic reference - Letter issued on official school paper with your referee's signature and personal and institutional contact information.
  • Copy of valid passport or ID Card - Only EU/EER students must upload a copy of their ID; non-EEA students must give a copy of their passport.

Transportation in the city

Accommodations for students are NOT provided by the University of Groningen.
