The University of Hildesheim is located in Hildesheim, Germany. Hildesheim is a city in Lower Saxony, Germany. The Hildesheim Cathedral and the St. Michael's Church Hildesheim became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1985. The city has a historic market place (Marktplatz) which was reconstructed in 1984-1990 after it was destroyed in the March 1945 air raid.
