Transportation in the city

The University of Massachusetts, Boston has enough transport facilities available. It provides MBTA passes to all undergraduate and postgraduate students. Students can also get passes to avail of on-campus parking. There is enough public transportation available. The university provides a free shuttle service that runs between the campus and the JFK/UMass Station on the MBTA. The pick-up and drop-off locations on-campus are Integrated Sciences Complex, Clark Athletic Center, and the area behind Campus Center, for private vehicles and ride-sharing vehicles.The nearest train stations are Greenbush and Kingston. While the nearest subway line is the Red Line.

On campus accomodation at University of Massachusetts, Boston

The University of Massachusetts, Boston provides students with on-campus housing. It has a 260,000 on-campus residence hall that is furnished. These residence halls are made for all first-year students including domestic and international students. 

UMass Boston provides resident halls, apartments and temporary accommodations. Students can choose their type of accommodation based on their budget and need. It also offers Homestay for International students who can live with American families. Apart from this, there are two apartments - Peninsula Apartments and Harbor Point Apartments. Students need to apply for accommodation online once they get admitted to the university. The cost of accommodation per year could range from 8,000 USD to 10,000 USD which equals around seven to eight lakh Indian rupees. For the luxury apartments, the price of accommodation could be anywhere around 1400 USD to 2300 USD which is one lakh to two lakh Indian rupees.
