University of New Castle's Callaghan campus is the main and largest campus, it is located in the Newcastle suburb of Callaghan situated approximately 12 Kilometre and 7miles from Newcastle CBD. For students who would love to stay off-campus, there are several residential options given by the university which includes private rooms, apartments, and houses. Some families who live near the university also offer to host students coming from overseas in their homes for short or long stays. The university will arrange each homestay, ensuring that all homes and host families are safe and friendly.

The University of Newcastle offers scholarships to international students and they include financial support for students from different countries, awarding the best students for their academic excellence and funding for research students. A body called ASPEN also awards scholarship programs to support indigenous students to complete a degree in Nursing or social work, grants and loans are also offered in the University.
The University of Newcastle provides a flexible working environment, workers are well paid and the institution also offers job vacancies to the students. The university welcomes any individual with good skills to work at the institution so far as you have those good qualities.
