    Location at University of Toledo

The city of Ohio was founded by United States citizens in 1833 on the west bank of the Maumee River, and originally incorporated as part of Monroe County, Michigan Territory. It was re-founded in 1837, after conclusion of the Toledo War, when it was incorporated in Ohio. With an approximate population of 279,989 the city was 67th largest city in the U.S. The prominence of this city is held by its glass industry that's why it also has a nick name of "The Glass City". The city of Toledo is defined as underrated while few others feel that it is completely boring with all the busy streets and its industry. But it is not a total waste, you will be visiting the city only once a week so you can get out and find some. P.S- beware of the shady ghettos.

    Infrastructure at University of Toledo

University of Toledo withstands on a campus of total 1240 acres in which the area of Health Science and Scott Parks is also included. The campus seems fairly big but is communicable by foot as all the buildings are located at one place. The equipment for Medical and Engineering are of good quality and students are happy with them. There are few buildings though which need some repairing but only if university administration pays attention to it. The classes are big and canteen provides average quality and taste of food. Problem being students do not prefer eating out as the campus is surrounded by Ghettos on one side and by busy streets on another. Many students have registered a problem of safety during night and university has done nothing about it since ages. There are only 2 guards who take care of this big campus at night which is not fair.

Residing Options at University of Toledo

University of Toledo offers students both housing and dining options. The on-campus housing cost for a typical student was $6,831 in 2015 - 2016 and the cost for a typical meal plan was $3,782.This is one of the most affordable prices seen in any on-campus housing and meal facility but considering the quality of food they do not seem worth it. There are few complaints regarding the dorm facilities, students have complained that the dorm is filled with 10 people while there is place for only 2. The university is very much obsessed with football and prefers spending most of the money on their team and stadium.

    Weather at University of Toledo

Toledo, as with much of the Great Lakes region, has a humid continental climate. Summers are very warm and humid, with July averaging 23.1 °C and temperatures of 32 °C or more seen on 16.5 days. Winters are cold and somewhat snowy, with a January mean temperature of -3.6 °C, and lows at or below -18 °C on 6.2 nights. Spring and summer months tend to be wetter than autumn and winter. The professors of Science, engineering and medical section are considered as one of the best within the campus and no one has anything but compliments for them. • Verdict at University of Toledo

Yes, from financial point of view this is one of the most affordable university in States and considering the fact that it has good faculty and academics you must be getting a feeling on finalizing this university but before that consider other points too. Safety being a major issue the university needs to take it in consideration and solve that problem by simply hiring few more security staff. Instead of spending 80% of the funds on renovating football field the university should hire security staff, buy cctvs and work on dorm sizes. Location for housing of international students is almost close to the ghetto and you can't find a bus to reach campus after a point at night. If you are willing to risk your life for saving a thousand US dollars then this university is worth it. But if you actually see then such things don't happen to everyone. If you keep your attitude and manners intact no one would try to harm you unless you are being egoistic with everyone. Well, if you plan to take admissions at UT then the university gives good news of 94% acceptance rate, but before taking this offer kindly keep in mind those few other points.
