Zeppelin University, otherwise known as Universität Zeppelin locally, is a not too large distinct, Non-Governmental inquiry making higher citadel of learning situated at Constance Lake in the state of Friedrichschafen, Deutschland. It was established in 2003. Like some universities around the world, it is named in honor of a Deutsche War Master and airship developer, Ferdinand Graf von Zeppelin. The school is renowned for its ever strict and standardized selection process. Just like most German universities, it was only vested with the right to award doctorate and habilitation just 8years of its existence. The right had not only been for awarding degrees but also to use the epithet “University ".
In rankings, Zeppelin was only able to achieve the feat of a first place with Corporate Management and Economics, owing to the fact that the school is still very young and small IN size. Hence, most times it's always neglected in rankings. It focuses on fields of study that include Sciences, Social sciences, Humanities, and the Arts.
The University of Zeppelin is located mainly on Lake Constance, which is domiciled in the state of Friedrichschafen, in Germany. Zeppelin has another location within the foyer of the Berlin International Airport, which is fondly referred to as the Institute for the Art of Swimming on Air. Additionally, Zeppelin has another campus in Fallenbrunnen. These locations have wonderful structures that would appeal to the eye. For instance, the foyer of the International Airport in Berlin is a dream for many.
As a young and growing school, Zepellin would have every need to meet up with other institutions in terms of infrastructure. Hence, various structures and buildings were put in place to serve the University population. Notable amongst them is the Berlin Campus that is accommodating the Institute for the Art of swimming on Air. Also, the campus that sits right on the edge of Lake Constance is another edifice to behold. It is not too surprising that Zeppelin was awarded and commended with the architecture award of the Deutschen Architekturmuseums. This was a prize bestowed on it for being one of the four pristine out-of-the-ordinary constructions in Germany.
For a school with such architectural and infrastructural prowess, the least that can be expected of them should not be a housing issue. There are various halls for students. In both the Friedrichschafen and Lake Constance campuses, there is a 20million euros donation, intended to be used for construction. The two campuses are up-to-date, designed by renowned architects, and it contains various structures such as cafeterias, halls, amongst others.
In Friedrichshafen, the summers are wet and comfortable; the winters are very cold. Over the course of the year, the temperature usually varies from 27°F to 77°F and is rarely above 87°F or below 16°F. The warm season extends from May 29 to September 10, with an average rise in high temperature above 69°F. The hottest day of the year is around August 4, with an average low of 57°F and high of 77°F. The cold season extends from November 17 to March 4, with an average daily drop in temperature below 45°F. The coldest day of the year is around February 9, with an average high of 40°F and low of 27°F.
Zeppelin University has an undergraduate to faculty ratio of 1:5, with a total number of 1,060 students, and a summed total of 224 administrative staff members, and 28 Professors. Zeppelin offers Bachelor courses mostly in the fields of Liberal Arts Education. The disciplines involved include but are not limited to Sociology, Corporate Management Economics, politics, media, and so on. The school is majorly a research-based project management institution.
With tuition running high from 4,140 euros to 4,740 euros per semester, an alternative source of funding would be necessary for a student Zeppelin. As a student of Zeppelin, if you're not into public speaking, politics or medical pieces of stuff, you might actually have an interest in the sport. The Erasmus group facilitates various sports activities ranging from cheerleading to lacrosse, volleyball to rowing, and so on.
Zeppelin is a very young school established in 2003, but it has the highest prospects one have seen in ages. With structures that won awards, facilities, and services that made campus life more interesting, and a working, integrated financial support, Zeppelin has got the potential and structures to lead others. It may take years, but with steady and correct development programs and academic programs, Zeppelin is reaching for the stars.
